Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead our financial operations and streamline our accounting department for our Abu Dhabi Branch. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a high volume of transactions, ensuring the strict accuracy of sales invoices, and maintaining healthy supplier relationships through efficient payment processing. You will take ownership of the financial workflow and oversee an Accounting Assistant who will handle document control, filing, and initial data entry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable & Invoicing: Oversee the generation and verification of sales invoices, ensuring 100% accuracy and eliminating billing errors.

• Accounts Payable & Supplier Management: Manage the end-to-end payment process. Reconcile supplier statements, resolve discrepancies promptly, and ensure all supplier payments are executed accurately and on time.

• Workflow & Document Optimization: Restructure and maintain a robust filing and document management system.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and delegate clerical tasks, filing, and basic data entry to the Accounting Assistant/Document Controller, ensuring their workload is effectively managed and verifying their output.

• ERP & System Management: Utilize enterprise software (such as Odoo, Zoho, Tally, or SAP Business One) to maintain accurate financial records, track inventory costs, and generate real-time financial reports for management review.

• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all financial operations comply with UAE accounting standards and VAT regulations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA qualification is a strong advantage).

• Minimum of 46 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a trading, commercial, or building materials environment in the UAE.

• Proven ability to handle a high quantum of work in a fast-paced setting without compromising accuracy.

• Strong working knowledge of standard ERP and accounting platforms.

• Excellent communication skills to manage vendor relations and address supplier inquiries professionally.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience overseeing support staff or administrative personnel.
