Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant

Position Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant with a strong background in trading and contracting operations within a holding company environment. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, accounting operations, and Microsoft Dynamics ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

• Develop, monitor, and control budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.

• Monitor project costs, contract profitability, revenue recognition, and cost control for trading and contracting activities.

• Consolidate financial reports from subsidiaries and business units within the holding company structure.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.

• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit requirements.

• Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to management.

• Ensure effective implementation and utilization of Microsoft Dynamics ERP for accounting and financial reporting.

• Establish and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are an advantage.

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Proven experience in trading and contracting companies operating under a holding company structure.

• Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP.

• Good knowledge of project accounting, cost control, and contract financial management.

• Experience in financial consolidation and reporting across multiple entities is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit procedures.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and support senior management in financial decision-making.

Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR15,000.00 per month
