Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing corporate accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, and multi-entity accounting operations.

Reporting to accounting leadership, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial analysis, intercompany transactions, and supporting the month-end and year-end close process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in an environment where accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and other month-end adjustments.

  • Support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items.

  • Perform detailed variance analysis for revenue, operating expenses, and key balance sheet accounts.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.

  • Support consolidated financial reporting and multi-entity accounting activities.

  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls.

  • Develop operational and ad hoc financial analyses to support business decision-making.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.

  • Assist with audits, special projects, and other accounting initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 5โ€“7 years of progressive accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.

  • Experience working in a multi-entity environment is highly preferred.

  • Proficiency with Workday is required.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and financial analysis.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
