Senior Accountant – Qatar

Salary: QAR 5,000 – 7,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Accountant to take ownership of the finance and accounting function within a fast-growing technology and services environment.

This is a hands-on senior role for someone who can go beyond routine transaction posting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing accounting activities, identifying financial issues proactively, improving collections and cash flow, preparing meaningful MIS reports, and providing management with clear financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day accounting and finance operations.

• Review and supervise the work of the accounting team.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

• Prepare and analyze MIS reports, financial statements, cash-flow reports, and management reports.

• Monitor receivables, collections, payables, and working capital.

• Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and operational issues before they become major problems.

• Improve collection processes and support better cash-flow management.

• Provide management with financial analysis and practical recommendations for business decisions.

• Monitor project-wise and business-unit-wise financial performance.

• Handle budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance analysis.

• Ensure proper accounting controls, compliance, and documentation.

• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders when required.

• Utilize Odoo or similar ERP systems effectively for financial operations and reporting.

• Support management in improving financial processes and internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

• 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CA, or equivalent.

• Previous Qatar/GCC accounting experience is required.

• Experience in one or more of the following sectors is highly preferred:

• IT Trading

• Technology Services

• Contracting

• AMC / Annual Maintenance Contracts

• Project-based businesses

• Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems.

• Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, cash-flow management, and MIS.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.

• Strong communication and management reporting skills.

• Commercial awareness and the ability to understand how financial decisions impact business performance.

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR7,000.00 per month
