The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio while supporting and mentoring junior team members.
You’ll manage client work from start to finish, provide high-quality tax and compliance services, and identify opportunities to deliver better outcomes for clients. Working closely with Managers and the wider team, you’ll also contribute to knowledge sharing, team development and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of clients from start to finish.

Prepare financial statements, BAS, FBT returns and tax returns across individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies.

Identify tax planning and advisory opportunities to improve client outcomes.

Ensure work meets current tax legislation, compliance and governance requirements.

Review work prepared by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.

Mentor and support junior and intermediate accountants.

Build strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive service.

Work closely with Managers and contribute to team objectives and knowledge sharing.

Participate in internal training, professional development and team activities.
About You

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

CA or CPA qualification.

6+ years’ experience in Australian public practice.

Strong knowledge of Australian tax, particularly for individuals and businesses.

Proven experience independently managing a client portfolio.

Strong experience across financial statements, BAS, FBT and tax returns for various entity types.

Experience with Division 7A loan agreements.

Experience reviewing and mentoring junior team members.

Comfortable working with a variety of software, including XERO, FYI Docs, Class, ATO Mate, Now Infinity, Annature, and Microsoft Office Suite.
