Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer with 8โ€“10 years of overall IT/DevOps experience and strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Microservices, Linux, Azure DevOps CI/CD, Docker, and Oracle WebLogic.

The candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting highly available digital application environments hosted on Azure, including containerized microservices running on Kubernetes and WebLogic-based enterprise applications.

The role requires strong production troubleshooting capability, CI/CD automation experience, Kubernetes administration, application deployment expertise, monitoring, performance analysis, and close collaboration with development, infrastructure, application support, security, and architecture teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated build, testing, deployment, and release management.

  • Manage production and non-production Kubernetes environments hosted on Microsoft Azure.

  • Deploy, configure, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize containerized microservices running on Kubernetes.

  • Manage Docker container images, registries, image versioning, deployment strategies, and container lifecycle management.

  • Support and manage Oracle WebLogic environments hosted on Azure, including application deployments, configuration, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, JVM-related issues, and production support.

  • Support end-to-end deployments across Development, SIT, UAT, Pre-Production, and Production environments.

  • Implement automated deployment processes and minimize manual intervention in software releases.

  • Build and maintain deployment pipelines with proper approval workflows, environment controls, rollback mechanisms, and release governance.

  • Troubleshoot complex production issues related to Kubernetes, containers, networking, Linux, microservices, WebLogic, Azure infrastructure, application connectivity, and deployment pipelines.

  • Perform Kubernetes troubleshooting covering Pods, Deployments, ReplicaSets, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, persistent storage, resource utilization, and cluster-level issues.

  • Analyze application and infrastructure logs to identify root causes of production incidents.

  • Monitor application and infrastructure health throughout the application lifecycle and proactively identify performance degradation, capacity issues, failures, and potential risks.

  • Work closely with development teams to ensure applications are designed and deployed according to cloud-native and DevOps best practices.

  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or similar technologies.

  • Manage application configuration and environment-specific parameters securely across different environments.

  • Support secure management of credentials, certificates, secrets, service connections, and access permissions.

  • Implement deployment strategies such as Rolling Deployment, Blue/Green Deployment, and Canary Deployment, where applicable.

  • Manage Kubernetes package deployments using Helm and related deployment tooling.

  • Support Azure services required by digital applications, including compute, networking, storage, load balancing, monitoring, and container services.

  • Work with Azure networking components such as VNets, subnets, load balancers, Application Gateway, private endpoints, DNS, firewalls, and connectivity between application components.

  • Support application availability, scalability, resilience, and performance requirements.

  • Participate in major incident troubleshooting and production recovery activities.

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis for deployment, infrastructure, Kubernetes, and application platform incidents and implement preventative actions.

  • Support Disaster Recovery, failover, environment recovery, and business continuity exercises.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvement to reduce deployment time, manual activities, operational errors, and service downtime.

  • Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment procedures, operational runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and recovery procedures.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior DevOps and application support resources.
