Senior Cloud Engineer - GCP - Contract - Must be SC Cleared

THE ROLE

A UK technology business building AI systems for regulated and security-sensitive environments is looking for a

Cloud Engineer

to join a new data platform programme.

This is a

hands-on GCP contract role

, with strong experience across

Google Cloud, GKE/Kubernetes and Terraform

essential. Experience working within

air-gapped, restricted or disconnected environments

is also highly desirable.

You’ll be responsible for building and operating secure cloud infrastructure across distributed and restricted environments.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Build and operate production infrastructure on

  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  .

• Work extensively with

  GKE and Kubernetes

  .

• Build and manage infrastructure using

  Terraform

  .

• Own CI/CD, automation, monitoring and observability.

• Support secure deployments across restricted and disconnected environments.

• Work across networking, security and infrastructure hardening.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Extensive hands-on GCP experience,

  this must be a core part of your recent experience.

• Strong

  GKE/Kubernetes

  experience.

• Strong

  Terraform / Infrastructure as Code

  experience.

• Strong Linux and cloud infrastructure background.

• Experience with CI/CD and cloud automation.

• Active SC clearance

CONTRACT

• £450–£550 per day

  , depending on experience and clearance.

• Remote across the UK, with occasional travel.

• Contract role; Outside IR35.
