SourceTeK is hiring experienced software developers on behalf of a client for a short-term, performance-driven project focused on training and improving AI models.

We are looking for highly skilled developers who are strong in code review, software architecture, debugging, and code repair. Candidates with diverse programming experience and strong coding fundamentals are preferred over candidates who simply have a high number of years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed code reviews to evaluate code quality, correctness, architecture, and maintainability.
Identify bugs, performance issues, design problems, and potential improvements.
Repair and improve existing code based on project requirements.
Review software architecture and assess technical implementation.
Work with different programming languages, frameworks, and codebases.
Apply strong software engineering and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Contribute to AI model training through high-quality technical code evaluation.

Requirements

Strong hands-on software development experience.
Excellent code review and debugging skills.
Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
Ability to understand, evaluate, and repair unfamiliar codebases.
Strong programming and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with multiple programming languages/frameworks is highly preferred.
Candidates will be evaluated primarily through coding and technical assessments, rather than years of experience alone.
Ability to work independently and maintain consistently high-quality output.

Performance & Assessment

This is a fast-paced, performance-based project.
All selected candidates will go through a mandatory one-week assessment period.
Candidates must meet the required quality and performance standards during the assessment.
Candidates who do not meet the required standards may be released from the project after the assessment period.
High-performing candidates may receive opportunities for continued work and contract extensions.

Contract Details

Initial Contract: 1–2 months
Potential Extension: Up to 6 months based on performance and project requirements
Overtime: Available at 1.5x pay
Equipment: Laptop provided by the client
Target Rate: $60–$90/hour, depending on technical skill level and experience
Workforce: Project is currently scaling and may expand significantly based on performance and demand

Preferred Candidates

US-based candidates are strongly preferred. Offshore candidates may also be considered, but the technical and performance standards are particularly high.
