ROLE PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY

Provide support to the business operations team on cost drivers of the business. Oversee and analyze cost expenditures and purchases.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activities such as inventory, raw material purchases, labor, and overhead.

  • PPV (Purchase Price Variance) analysis and reporting.

  • Margin analysis on material revenue vs material costs, including yield/scrap loss analysis.

  • Assist in month-end close of the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries.

  • General ledger account reconciliations.

  • Reconcile inventories and analyze periodic changes to balances.

  • Assist with external and internal audits.

  • Continuous improvement of cost accounting functions and processes.

  • Various ad hoc reporting and analysis.Other duties which may be assigned by your manager

QUALIFICATIONS/ CAPABILITY PROFILE

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of cost accounting or financial analysis

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, CPG a plus

Minimum Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • Excellent analytical skills and sound understanding of accounting principles

  • High proficiency in Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables

  • ERP system experience, prior usage of Microsoft D365 a plus

  • Experience with Nulogy WMS/MRP software a plus

  • Experience developing and analyzing standards costs

  • Ability to effectively communicate results and issues to various audiences

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Naturally inquisitive and proactive mentality
