Job Description – Cost Control Engineer (EPC – Oil & Gas)

Position: Cost Control Engineer Industry: Oil & Gas – EPC Projects

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Cost Control Engineer to monitor, analyze, and control project costs for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects in the Oil & Gas sector. The candidate will be responsible for budget monitoring, cost forecasting, variance analysis, and cost reporting to ensure projects are completed within the approved budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor project budgets, actual expenditures, commitments, and forecast costs.

• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost performance analyses.

• Identify cost variances, risks, and potential budget overruns.

• Track engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor costs.

• Prepare cost estimates, budget revisions, and project cost forecasts.

• Coordinate with project managers, planning, procurement, and finance teams.

• Support change order management, cost claims, and financial reporting.

• Ensure compliance with project cost control procedures and EPC contractual requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in cost control, preferably in EPC Oil & Gas projects.

• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel, and cost control/reporting tools.

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost variance analysis, and project financial controls.

Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR25,000.00 per month
