Digital Intelligence Foundations is seeking a highly experienced

Senior Data Engineer

to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms that support advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and enterprise applications. You will work closely with AI, Machine Learning, NLP, and Speech teams to ensure that large-scale structured and unstructured datasets are reliable, secure, accessible, and ready for production use.

Success in this role means building robust data pipelines, improving data quality and performance, and enabling AI teams to efficiently work with

text, audio, speech, and enterprise data

.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms.

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale data processing.

• Manage structured and unstructured datasets, including

  text, audio, and speech data

  .

• Develop data pipelines supporting

  NLP, Speech AI, STT, TTS, LLMs, and Generative AI applications

  .

• Design Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse architectures.

• Develop distributed data processing solutions using

  Python, SQL, and Apache Spark

  .

• Build and manage data solutions using

  Azure, Azure Databricks, AWS, and Snowflake

  .

• Implement data cleaning, transformation, validation, metadata management, and dataset versioning processes.

• Improve data quality, governance, security, reliability, and performance.

• Integrate data from APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems.

• Collaborate with Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, NLP, and Speech Engineering teams.

• Support the delivery of production-grade data infrastructure for AI and analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience

  in Data Engineering or a related field.

• Strong experience with

  Python, SQL, and Apache Spark

  .

• Hands-on experience with

  Microsoft Azure and Azure Databricks

  .

• Experience with

  AWS data services and Snowflake

  .

• Proven experience handling

  large-scale textual, audio, and speech datasets

  .

• Experience preparing and managing datasets for

  Machine Learning, NLP, Speech Recognition, Text-to-Speech, and LLM applications

  .

• Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, and distributed data processing.

• Strong understanding of Data Quality, Data Governance, Security, and Performance Optimization.

• Experience designing scalable, reliable, and production-ready data architectures.

• Professional proficiency in Arabic is required

  , with the ability to understand and work effectively with Arabic textual and speech datasets.

• Good command of English for technical documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with

Delta Lake, Apache Kafka, Apache Airflow, dbt, Docker, CI/CD, Terraform, vector databases, and AI/ML data pipelines

is highly desirable.
