Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain database systems for

  high availability, reliability, security, and performance

  .

• Perform database

  installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, backup & recovery, and performance tuning

  .

• Design and optimize

  database structures, schemas, and data models

  in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.

• Troubleshoot complex database issues including

  performance bottlenecks, connectivity, data corruption, and system failures

  .

• Implement database

  security controls, access management, encryption, auditing, and monitoring

  .

• Plan and execute

  database upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning

  .

• Develop scripts and automation for database administration and maintenance.

• Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and data integrity processes.

• Participate in

  change management, testing, documentation, and production implementation

  .

• Coordinate with database vendors/service providers and provide technical guidance to junior DBAs.

Expertise in:

• Database architecture & administration

• Performance tuning, query optimization & index management

• Partitioning and database optimization

• Backup & Recovery / Point-in-Time Recovery

• Disaster Recovery

• Database Security & Auditing

• Database Monitoring & Diagnostic Tools

• Capacity Planning

• SQL / PL-SQL / PowerShell / Python

• Database automation and scripting

• Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis

🎓

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in

  Information Technology, Computer Science, Applied Science, or a related field

  .

• 6+ years of relevant database administration experience

  .

• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Candidates who can join within

  30 days maximum

  are preferred.
