Job description
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Design Engineer
to develop, review, and coordinate electrical designs for major construction projects, ensuring technical accuracy, constructability, cost efficiency, and compliance with project requirements and applicable codes.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and technical drawings.

Design power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, grounding, lightning protection, and low-current systems.

Perform load calculations, voltage-drop studies, short-circuit analysis, and cable sizing.

Prepare single-line diagrams, panel schedules, equipment layouts, and technical reports.

Review tender drawings, IFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.

Coordinate electrical systems with mechanical, architectural, structural, and civil disciplines.

Identify and resolve design clashes and site-related technical issues.

Ensure compliance with approved specifications, Saudi Building Code, SEC requirements, and international standards.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams.

Support value engineering, material selection, testing, commissioning, and as-built documentation.
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelorโs degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum
8โ12 years of electrical design experience
in building or major construction projects.

Previous contractor-side experience is preferred.

Strong knowledge of LV and MV systems, lighting, earthing, and low-current systems.

Experience with major, high-rise, commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects is preferred.

Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Saudi Council of Engineers registration is preferred.

Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
