Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior****Electrical Engineer to join Powertech supporting our Malaga office on a Full-Time Permanent Basis.

About The Role:

• Perform FEED and Detailed Design for substation equipment and systems, including Protection Design, AC/DC Switchgear, Switchyard, Substation Building and Auxiliaries, Battery/ Battery Charger/UPS.

• Conduct Power System Modelling and Analysis Studies for protection coordination, load flow, short circuit,  motor starting, arc flash, and lightning protection.

• Design Earthing systems, including Step and Touch Potential, EPR, Earth Grid Design, and Portable Earthing.

• Technical/economic feasibility studies, technical support for estimating and project framing, asset lifecycle engineering and analysis.

• Assist in the development of engineering standards, processes, and systems and provide supervision and training to engineers and graduates.

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

• Chartered Status (CPEng) – (or ability to achieve within 6 months of starting the role).

• Possess detailed knowledge of design quality assurance processes and relevant standards, legislation, policies, and procedures applicable to designs and studies.

• Experienced with generating design scopes, specifications, and project estimating.

• Proficient in generating detailed technical reports and formulating concise technical arguments.

• Proven experience in delivering complete turnkey design solutions on projects with values up to $5mil.

• Strong understanding of the functional electrical design areas of HV substations, control, automation, protection, and communications systems.
