Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a competent Senior / Mid-Senior Electrical Engineer with proven experience in the UAE construction industry, particularly in high-rise buildings, residential towers, commercial buildings, and large-scale building projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in electrical building services, project execution, site supervision, installation, testing and commissioning, and coordination with other MEP disciplines and civil teams. Candidates must be familiar with UAE authority regulations, local construction standards, project specifications, and consultant requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical installation works for high-rise buildings and other building construction projects.

• Ensure electrical works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and applicable UAE regulations.

• Review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation.

• Coordinate with MEP teams, civil engineers, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and project management teams to resolve site issues.

• Supervise the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, cable containment, and ELV systems.

• Monitor site progress, manpower deployment, material requirements, and installation quality to meet project milestones.

• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.

• Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and relevant authorities, as applicable, including DEWA, ADDC/AADC, or other local utility authorities.

• Manage technical queries, site instructions, inspection requests, and resolution of non-conformance reports.

• Participate in testing and commissioning activities and ensure proper handover documentation is completed.

• Identify potential delays, technical challenges, and coordination conflicts, and implement corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with project HSE policies and applicable UAE electrical codes and standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

• Approximately 6–12 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, with substantial exposure to UAE building construction projects.

• Proven experience in high-rise residential towers, commercial buildings, hotels, mixed-use developments, or similar building projects.

• Strong knowledge of electrical building services installation, site execution, inspection, testing, and commissioning.

• Practical experience reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, material submittals, and technical documentation.

• Familiarity with UAE authority approvals, consultant inspections, and local construction practices.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors.

• Good understanding of quality assurance, health and safety requirements, and project documentation.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and site management skills.

Preferred Technical Knowledge

• LV power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, distribution boards, and cable sizing.

• Lighting, emergency lighting, small power, earthing, and lightning protection systems.

• Cable tray, trunking, conduit, and cable installation.

• Fire alarm, structured cabling, access control, and other ELV systems.

• Electrical testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover procedures.

• AutoCAD, electrical shop drawings, and relevant project management tools.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
