Job description
Join an awesome Finance team! | Sydney CBD | Hybrid/Flexible working
Lighthouse Service Partners is on a mission to become Australia's best multi-trades home services platform. We've grown to 700+ employees and we're just getting started. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll be a foundational member of the HoldCo accounting team, with real visibility into how a Private Equity-backed platform actually scales.
What you'll be doing:
Financial reporting & month-end close
- Own your share of monthly financial statements prepared to AASB standard, run balance sheet reconciliations and journals, and support consolidation as we bring new legal entities into the group.
Systems & process automation
- Help implement and configure our core finance systems (ERP and reporting tools), support integration of newly acquired businesses, and find the manual processes worth automating โ reconciliations, reporting packs, workflow approvals.
Tax compliance & audit support
- Prepare and review BAS and payroll tax, support FBT and income tax compliance alongside our external advisors
Core financial operations & acquisition integration
- Support day-to-day AP, AR, fixed assets and lease accounting, help onboard the accounting records of newly acquired businesses, and strengthen controls as the group grows.
Ad-hoc and operational support
- Build reports and insights for management, and back up the FC wherever the priority sits that week.
What you'll bring:
-
CA qualified, 2-5+ years PQE
-
Previous hands-on use of NetSuite would be desirable but not essential
-
Strong technical grounding in AASB/IFRS and Australian tax (corporate tax, GST, payroll tax)
-
Experience preparing monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and supporting year-end audits
-
Some exposure to ERP implementation โ leading or supporting
-
Advanced Excel, and the analytical instinct to know when a number looks wrong before you can prove it
-
The ability to manage competing priorities independently, without losing precision
It would be great, but isn't essential, if you also have:
-
A background in a Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm
-
Experience in a PE-backed, multi-entity, or high-growth environment
-
Exposure to acquisition accounting and post-merger integration
-
Experience working across states (NSW, QLD, VIC) with differing tax and payroll rules
Why this role
This is a rare ground-floor seat in a PE-backed platform that's scaling fast and hasn't yet ossified. You'll build systems rather than inherit them, work across a genuinely multi-entity structure as new acquisitions land, and get direct exposure to a Financial Controller, external auditors, tax advisors, and integration teams โ the kind of breadth that typically takes years longer to reach in a more established finance function.
If you want your fingerprints on how a finance function gets built rather than just how it's run, this is that role.
