Job description
We are recruiting an experienced Accountant to join an established accountancy practice based in South Dublin. The practice is currently going through an exciting period of development, making it a particularly interesting time to join the team and play a part in its next chapter.
This is a varied role with responsibility for managing a portfolio of interesting SME and larger clients. The position offers a good mix of management, accounting, business planning, tax, accounts preparation and client advisory work, rather than being solely focused on year-end compliance.
The Role You will be responsible for:

Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts for larger clients and presenting results directly to them

Preparing budgets, forecasts and business plans, including for start-ups and businesses raising finance

Providing clients with practical advice around tax planning and efficiencies

Preparing year-end accounts for non-audit limited companies

Completing corporation tax and income tax returns

Managing your own portfolio of clients and developing strong client relationships

Supervising and working with bookkeepers, trainees, accounting technicians and newly qualified accountants

Working with the support of 2 junior team members
Experience & Skills:
We are looking for someone with strong experience in an accountancy practice environment who is comfortable managing client relationships and working independently. Additional industry experience welcome but not required.
Experience with a range of accounting software would be beneficial.
