Senior Full Stack Developer Laravel and React

We're Hiring — Senior Full Stack Developer (Laravel + React) · 5+ Years

Slider is a fast-growing last-mile delivery platform operating across the UAE and KSA. We're scaling quickly, and we're looking for a senior developer who takes pride in building fast, reliable, production-grade systems to join our team.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Laravel (PHP) — this is the core of the role.

• Work with Redis for caching, queues, background jobs, and messaging.

• Optimise application performance — database queries, API response times, and server resources.

• Build responsive frontends with React / Next.js.

• Develop real-time features using Node.js and Socket.IO / WebSockets (live tracking, notifications).

• Deploy, monitor, and maintain our applications on AWS.

• Collaborate closely with our technical lead and cross-functional team to ship secure, high-quality software.

• Contribute to code reviews, architecture decisions, and keeping our codebase clean and well-documented.

What we're looking for (must-haves)

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience.

• Strong Laravel (PHP) expertise — this is non-negotiable and the heart of the role.

• Solid experience with Redis, queues, caching, background jobs, and event-driven design.

• Strong command of MySQL / PostgreSQL and database optimisation.

• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Comfortable with React.js (Next.js a plus) for frontend work.

• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Genuine problem-solving and debugging skills, and experience with high-traffic, production-ready systems.

Nice to have (bonus, not required)

• Node.js and Socket.IO / WebSocket real-time features.

• Hands-on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, IAM).

• Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

• TypeScript.

• Payment gateway integration experience.
