MaineHealth is looking for a
Senior Grant Accountant
to join our team in a
fully remote role
.
You’ll take ownership of the financial side of grants and contracts — from maintaining grant ledgers and tracking revenues and expenses to
managing budgets, forecasting, cost allocations, reporting, compliance, and audit support
. You’ll also partner with program teams to help them understand their funding and make sure grants stay on track from a financial perspective.
We’re looking for someone with at least
3 years of related accounting or grant finance experience
who is detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and enjoys being a resource to others. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, and a
CPA or CGFM is a plus, but not required
.

Summary
The Senior Grant Accountant is a hands-on post-award finance professional who oversees grant and contract financial management, ensures regulatory and funder compliance, produces timely and accurate reports, and partners with program teams to manage budgets, forecasts, and audits. This role combines technical accounting, internal control design, and stakeholder advising to protect funder relationships and organizational integrity.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

License/Certifications: CPA or CGFM preferred.

The pay range for this position is $66,123.20to $89,481.60per year.
Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
