Senior Infrastructure Engineer

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing technology environment and take ownership of key infrastructure and cloud initiatives.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for improving the reliability, security and scalability of infrastructure across Azure and hybrid environments. You’ll work closely with internal IT, Security, Development and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain Azure and hybrid infrastructure.

  • Lead infrastructure projects from technical design through to implementation.

  • Improve automation, standardisation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

  • Support Microsoft workplace technologies and virtual desktop environments.

  • Strengthen infrastructure security, monitoring and vulnerability management.

  • Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.

  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and act as a senior technical escalation point.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards and processes.

  • Work with wider technology teams to deliver infrastructure improvements and new platforms.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong background in Infrastructure, Cloud or Platform Engineering.

  • Solid Microsoft Azure experience.

  • Good understanding of networking, identity, security and cloud technologies.

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation.

  • Strong PowerShell and troubleshooting skills.

  • Experience delivering infrastructure projects in a structured environment.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Experience with some of the following would be beneficial:

  • Azure Virtual Desktop

  • Microsoft Intune, Entra ID and Microsoft 365

  • AWS or multi-cloud environments

  • Linux

  • ISO 27001 or similar frameworks

  • SAP infrastructure

  • SaaS or AI environments
