Senior Infrastructure Engineer

• Administer and maintain Windows Server, Linux, and virtualized environments across multiple office locations to ensure high availability and performance of physical and virtual machines.

• Install, configure, and manage both virtualization platforms: Microsoft Hyper-V Failover Clustering (multi-node cluster, including cluster quorum, Cluster Shared Volumes, live migration, and host patching) and VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter (HA/DRS, vMotion, datastores, and lifecycle management).

• Administer the organization’s Azure environment supporting e-commerce workloads — mobile application and website VMs, virtual networks and NSGs, load balancers/application gateways, storage accounts, backup, and related shared services — applying cost, capacity, and security governance.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, proactively identify issues, and implement corrective actions.

• Manage server infrastructure including compute, storage, and network-related components.

• Perform system patching, updates, and upgrades to maintain security and operational stability.

• Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions across on-premises clusters and Azure (including Azure Backup/Site Recovery and database point-in-time restore) to ensure data protection and business continuity for all locations.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, server, and system-related technical issues.

• Support database environments with installation, patching, user/access management, backup and restore, performance monitoring, and basic tuning across Azure Database for PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server, working with application teams on query and capacity issues.

• Maintain shared services underpinning the e-commerce platform, including Active Directory, DNS, certificates, integration/middleware components, and monitoring and alerting tooling.

• Ensure infrastructure security through access control, monitoring, and adherence to IT security policies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams on infrastructure projects, upgrades, and system improvements.

• Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure architecture, configurations, and procedures.

• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and junior engineers.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED16,374.50 per month
