We are seeking two hands-on Senior Infrastructure Engineers to play a critical role in supporting and advancing our server infrastructure, storage, backup, and data center consolidation initiatives across the UK.

This position is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure, particularly as we migrate and consolidate workloads into our Slough data center.

The ideal candidates will bring deep expertise in VMware technologies with practical experience in NetApp storage, Rubrik backup solutions, and Cisco UCS hardware, enabling them to deliver robust infrastructure solutions that support business continuity and growth.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build, configure, and troubleshoot server infrastructure within VMware vSphere environments.

• Execute and support virtual machine migrations using vMotion and related VMware technologies.

• Lead and assist in data center consolidation efforts, specifically migrating workloads into the Slough data center.

• Support and maintain NetApp storage systems and Rubrik backup operations throughout migration and daily activities.

• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues across compute, storage, and virtualization layers.

• Validate and ensure the stability and performance of systems post-migration.

• Operate independently while collaborating closely with wider infrastructure teams and subject matter experts to deliver seamless infrastructure services.

• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps to maintain knowledge base and support continuity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.

• 7+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on enterprise environments.

• Proven hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and vMotion technologies.

• Strong background in supporting enterprise server infrastructure, storage, and backup environments.

• Demonstrated practical troubleshooting skills in compute, storage, and virtualization environments.

• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate effectively within technical teams.

• Preferred certifications include VMware Certified Professional (VCP), NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), or equivalent relevant certifications.

• Experience with data center migration or consolidation projects is highly desirable.
