Senior iOS Engineer — Part-Time / Equity

Halen is looking for an experienced iOS Engineer to help take our Flutter-based mobile platform through production readiness and launch on iOS.

We already have three Flutter developers working on the application. We’re not looking to rebuild the app in Swift. We’re looking for someone who can own the native iOS side of production and work alongside our Flutter team.

What you'll work on

Prepare and optimize our Flutter app for production on iOS
Own Xcode builds, signing, provisioning, TestFlight and App Store releases
Troubleshoot Flutter/iOS integration and native platform issues
Help ensure reliable background location and GPS behavior
Support APNs/Firebase push notifications
Work with Google Maps, location services and navigation integrations
Debug crashes, memory issues, battery usage and performance
Implement Swift/native functionality when Flutter requires platform-specific support
Help ensure compliance with Apple's App Store and privacy requirements
Review iOS-related implementation with our Flutter developers

What we're looking for

Strong experience with Swift, Xcode and production iOS applications is essential.

Experience with Flutter or integrating native iOS functionality into Flutter apps is highly preferred.

We're especially interested in someone who has worked on rideshare, delivery, navigation, logistics, fleet, mapping or real-time location applications.

Experience with Core Location, background execution, Firebase/APNs, Google Maps, platform channels, CocoaPods/SPM and App Store deployment is a strong plus.

The opportunity

This is currently a part-time, equity-based role with no cash salary, approximately 10–15 hours per week with a flexible schedule. It is designed to work well alongside your current job or other commitments.

We're actively fundraising. Our intention is for this role to transition into a full-time salaried position once Halen is funded, although the timing of funding and that transition cannot be guaranteed.

You'll be joining Halen at the stage where the product is moving toward production and launch—not starting from a blank screen.

Pay: $131,995.52 - $158,962.33 per year
