Summary

Job Summary (Senior / Lead iOS Developer NYC, Hybrid)

• Lead Design & Development: Architect, build, and maintain mission-critical native iOS apps for finance/investment banking clients using Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, and UIKit.

• High-Performance UI: Engineer ultra-responsive, real-time interfaces for live tick data, order books, and portfolio analytics without performance lags.

• Cloud & Networking: Integrate iOS apps with AWS cloud services (API Gateway, AppSync, Cognito, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB) and implement robust APIs, WebSockets, and intelligent caching.

• Concurrency & Optimization: Optimize app concurrency and memory management using Swift Concurrency (async/await, Actors), GCD, and Xcode Instruments to ensure sub-millisecond execution.

• Enterprise Security: Implement advanced security (OAuth2/OIDC, biometrics, Keychain, certificate pinning, zero-trust encryption) in line with financial industry standards.

• DevOps & QA: Drive automated testing (XCTest, XCUITest) and CI/CD processes (Fastlane, GitHub Actions, AWS Device Farm) for reliable app delivery.

• Financial Domain Expertise: Apply experience developing trading, wealth management, or capital markets platforms, handling high-frequency financial data and analytics.

• Compliance & Custom Visualization (Preferred): Understanding of regulatory requirements (FINRA, SEC, GDPR) and experience with custom charting/graphics (Metal, Core Graphics).

Required

• 6+ years iOS development with Swift

• Direct investment banking/financial app experience

• Advanced concurrency and AWS integration skills

• Deep proficiency in reactive frameworks (Combine/RxSwift)

• Strong skills in profiling, debugging, and performance tuning

Preferred

• Experience with streaming protocols (WebSockets, gRPC, Protobuf)

• Knowledge of financial compliance and secure audit logging

• Custom graphics/charting for financial data
