Senior Marketing Manager

Pancare Foundation is one of Australia’s leading charities committed to fighting pancreatic and upper GI cancers.

We provide support for people living with pancreatic cancer and their families from the point of diagnosis through to treatment and beyond. We also fund world-leading research to increase survival and improve treatment options.

Position Purpose:

The Senior Marketing Manager provides strategic leadership across marketing, communications and fundraising activities, ensuring a coordinated and audience-focused approach across the organisation.

The role brings together priorities across Fundraising, Research and Advocacy, Support Services and Partnerships, ensuring a coordinated approach to content and communications that drives supporter engagement, fundraising growth and advocacy outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

Organisational Marketing Planning

·       Provide organisation-wide oversight of marketing and communications planning, ensuring priorities across Fundraising, PanSupport, Research and Advocacy, and Partnerships are aligned, appropriately prioritised and delivered in a coordinated manner.

·       Facilitate cross-functional planning, identifying overlaps, gaps and opportunities to maximise organisational impact and resource efficiency.

·       Establish efficient marketing systems, processes and governance.

·       Ensure organisational messaging remains aligned across all business units.

Marketing and Communications Strategy

·       Develop and deliver integrated marketing, communications and content strategies that support all areas of the business including Marketing and Fundraising, PanSupport, Research and Advocacy, and organisational objectives across all channels.

·       Lead content planning and storytelling, translating organisational outcomes into compelling impact stories, case studies and advocacy content that inspire action and demonstrate donor impact.

·       Identify opportunities to increase audience growth, supporter engagement and organisational visibility.

·       Monitor marketing performance and provide insights and recommendations to optimise results.

·       Drive continuous improvement through audience insights, market trends and performance analysis

Individual Giving

·       Develop compelling supporter-centric communications that drive acquisition, retention and stewardship across Individual Giving programs.

·       Support fundraising campaigns including appeals, regular giving, peer-to-peer fundraising and community events.

Digital Marketing and Social Media

·       Develop and execute digital marketing activities including website content, email communications, SEO initiatives and social media campaigns.

·       Lead digital and social media strategies that drive audience growth, engagement, supporter acquisition and retention across the organisation.

·       Monitor digital performance, analytics and emerging trends to optimise campaign effectiveness and inform decision-making.

Data, Insights and Audience Development

·       Support audience segmentation, supporter journeys and communication planning to improve engagement, retention and fundraising outcomes.

·       Leverage CRM data, supporter insights and analytics to inform communication strategies and organisational priorities.

·       Use audience insights and supporter preferences to inform communication planning and improve audience engagement.

Stakeholder Collaboration

·       Support partnership relationships and activations through content creation, stakeholder communications, asset development and reporting.

·       Work closely with Fundraising, Research and Advocacy, Partnerships and leadership teams to identify communications opportunities and priorities.

·       Provide marketing and communications advice to internal stakeholders to support organisational objectives and campaign outcomes.

·       Manage relationships with external suppliers, agencies, designers, photographers and freelancers as required.

Research and Advocacy

·       Develop communications that build public awareness, strengthen advocacy efforts and support organisational positioning.

·       Develop and implement an impact communications strategy that clearly articulates the organisation's research, advocacy and support service outcomes.

·       Translate complex research and advocacy outcomes into engaging, audience-focused content.

Experience and Qualifications

·       Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Marketing or a related discipline.

·       Demonstrated experience in a marketing, communications or fundraising role, preferably within the not-for-profit, health, community or related sector.

·       Proven experience developing and delivering integrated marketing, communications and content strategies across multiple channels.

·       Strong content development, storytelling and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex information into compelling audience-focused communications.

·       Experience supporting fundraising initiatives, including donor acquisition, retention, stewardship and campaign communications.

·       Demonstrated capability across digital marketing, including website management, email marketing, social media, SEO and analytics.

·       Strong project management, organisational and relationship management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

·       Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, strategic thinking, analytical capability and a commitment to continuous improvement
