offer a turnkey service in the Design, Build and Delivery of Bespoke Automated Solutions to the Life Science and High Technology Industries. We are part of the Reliance Group which is 100 years old this year and we have ambitious plans to grow the newly established Bespoke Automation facility based in Dundalk.

We have an immediate requirement for a

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with more than 4 years’ experience, to serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) and project lead for our complex, large-scale automation systems. Starting from a blank canvas concept, you will spearhead the mechanical architecture, collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team, and drive projects through full-lifecycle development to final site commissioning and validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mechatronic Design

    : Design complex automation equipment in SolidWorks (PDM environment), seamlessly integrating robotics, servo systems, pneumatics, transfer systems, vision systems, and machine guarding.

  • Client & Project Ownership

    : Act as the primary technical point of contact for global customers, leading design reviews and delivering regular project updates both internally and externally.

  • Procurement & Manufacturing Support

    : Generate precise 2D part drawings, manage material selection, and collaborate directly with machine shops to source bespoke machined components.

  • Regulatory Compliance

    : Collaborate on project risk assessments, utilising a strong knowledge of the CE marking framework to compile complete technical files.

  • Validation & Lifecycle Execution

    : Transform customer User Requirement Specifications (URS) into functional designs and follow through to the execution of IQ, OQ, and PQ validation protocols.

  • Pneumatic Design

    : Draft and design pneumatic circuit schematics (highly desirable).

  • Floor Support

    : Maintain a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and assembly when required on the production floor.
