Senior Mechanical Engineer

China State Construction Middle East is recruiting a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a newly awarded large-scale project in Dubai, UAE.

Position Summary:

Position requires thorough knowledge of HVAC , P&D ,FF design and engineering techniques, In-charge for overseeing all Mechanical works Complete responsibility to decide on day-to-day work that needs to be carried out by subordinates including: scheduling of activities, assigning task to groups or individuals, accuracy of work conducted, and dealing with operational issues and problems.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and design the detailed engineering for Shop Drawings, based on Tender design drawings.

• Study and review the Tender drawings / specification and raise RFI, if required.

• Responsible for the leadership and support of their team

• Prepare the submission for Authority Approvals: DM / ADM / DCD, ADCD, and liaise with Authorities till get the Approval of submission.

• Ensure Quality of Engineering in discipline and compliance with the appropriate project process

• Ensure the preparation and review of design solutions, which fully comply with all applicable design / Client requirements, with Design Standards, Codes of Practice and good engineering principles to agreed time, cost and quality requirements

• Maintain effective working relationships with other authorities/disciplines

• Communicate with staff within appointed discipline

• Supervise work of Engineers and Junior Engineers

• Inspect and audit the installation on site

• Prepare the method statements for Installation / Testing.

• Provide technical support for Tender department in the tendering projects.

• Provide technical support for the Procurement Department, and assist for the offers received from suppliers

• Liaise with local authorities for the approval of Electric service drawings, inspections

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering

• 10 Years' of relevant work experience in large scale Projects
