Job description

Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and managing the enterprise product portfolio to ensure initiatives are delivered in alignment with organizational strategy and business value. This role owns the product roadmap, determines what work is performed and when, and serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. Working closely with the COO, Director of IT and subject matter experts (SMEs), the Senior Product Manager translates business needs into clear, actionable requirements that enable successful solution delivery. Given the organization's pace of delivery, this senior-level position is expected to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously while maintaining strategic focus and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the enterprise product portfolio and roadmap, establishing priorities based on business value, strategic objectives, risk, and resource capacity.

  • Determine and communicate the sequencing and timing of product initiatives to maximize organizational impact.

  • Partner with business leaders and SMEs to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

  • Translate business objectives into well-defined requirements for development, quality assurance, and implementation teams.

  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between business stakeholders and technology teams throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Manage multiple concurrent products and projects while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Continuously refine and reprioritize the product backlog based on changing business needs, feedback, and organizational strategy.

  • Facilitate product planning sessions, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stakeholder reviews where applicable.

  • Monitor initiative progress, identify risks, remove obstacles, and proactively communicate status to leadership.

  • Ensure delivered solutions align with business requirements, user expectations, and organizational goals.

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, analysts, and business leaders to drive successful delivery.

  • Support change management, user adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives following product releases.

  • Develop product roadmaps, business cases, metrics, and executive-level presentations to support investment decisions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Program Management, or related technology leadership roles.

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical deliverables.

  • Experience working with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven ability to prioritize competing initiatives while balancing strategic and operational objectives.

Preferred

  • Experience leading enterprise software implementations or digital transformation initiatives.

  • Experience with portfolio management and roadmap planning.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or other product management platforms.

  • Product Owner (PSPO), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMP, or similar certification.

The anticipated base salary for this role is between $127,176 - $141,478 . This position is also eligible for annual performance-based bonuses and an annual profit-sharing opportunity. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
