ALIGN PRECISION is growing in Horsham, Pennsylvania, and we are looking for an accomplished Senior Quality Manager to join our new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Senior Quality Manager , you will lead and develop the quality function for our Horsham manufacturing operation. You will be responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems meet customer, engineering, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.

You will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations to establish effective quality controls, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive a culture of quality throughout the organization.

This role is ideal for a quality leader with experience in precision machining, close-tolerance manufacturing, and advanced inspection methodologies who enjoys being both a strategic leader and a hands-on problem solver.

  • Lead the day-to-day activities of the Quality function, ensuring products and processes consistently meet customer and engineering requirements.

  • Own and maintain the AS9100 QMS and ensure it is effectively implemented across the site.

  • Lead Management Review and own site-level Quality objectives and KPIโ€™s.

  • Drive key metrics such as COPQ, scrap, rework, PMM, customer escapes/returns and corrective action effectiveness.

  • Provide strong, visible Quality leadership on the production floor.

  • Partner closely with Operations and Engineering to identify recurring issues and drive systemic improvements.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective quality management systems, procedures, and controls .

  • Establish and monitor quality objectives, metrics, and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.

  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to develop robust and repeatable processes capable of consistently producing conforming product.

  • Review customer requirements, engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to ensure appropriate inspection and quality requirements are incorporated into manufacturing processes.

  • Lead the investigation and resolution of nonconformances, customer complaints, escalations, corrective actions, audits and customer specific requirements , including root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes and ensure timely and effective resolution.

  • Provide leadership, development, and clear direction to the existing quality team.

  • Support MRB and make sound disposition decisions based on requirement and risk.

  • Lead internal and external quality audits and coordinate responses to audit findings.

  • Support customer and regulatory audits and serve as a key point of contact for quality-related customer requirements.

  • Establish and maintain inspection plans, control plans, sampling methods, and other quality documentation.

  • Oversee the use and calibration of inspection equipment and measurement systems .

  • Support and improve first article inspection (FAI) and production inspection processes.

  • Ensure appropriate application of statistical process control (SPC) and other data-driven quality tools.

  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and defect reduction.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to implement process controls, mistake-proofing, and continuous improvement initiatives .

  • Develop and maintain quality standards for incoming materials, in-process operations, and finished products.

  • Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance when required.

  • Establish clear quality expectations and provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing personnel.

  • Promote a strong quality culture and continuous-improvement mindset throughout the organization.

  • Train and mentor quality personnel and manufacturing employees on quality procedures, inspection methods, and customer requirements.

  • Maintain accurate quality records and ensure documentation is complete, current, and compliant with applicable requirements.

  • Take ownership of quality projects and initiatives from identification through successful implementation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate member of management.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

  • 7+ years of experience in senior quality management within a precision manufacturing or machining environment.

  • Proven experience leading quality activities in a close-tolerance manufacturing environment .

  • Strong knowledge technical knowledge of CNC Machining, GD&T, CMM, and dimensional inspection, engineering drawings, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes .

  • Demonstrated experience with root-cause analysis, corrective action, and problem-solving methodologies .

  • Balance the higher-level QMS and Quality responsibilities with the daily needs of the operation.

  • Strong understanding of quality management systems, procedures, and documentation.

  • Experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) and production inspection requirements.

  • Experience conducting or supporting internal, customer, and supplier audits .

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use quality data to drive decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, machinists, supervisors, customers, and suppliers.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of quality initiatives.

  • Ability to work effectively in a hands-on manufacturing environment and engage directly with production teams.

Preferred / Plus

  • Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or other highly regulated precision-manufacturing industries .

  • Experience with CMM inspection and advanced metrology .

  • Experience with SPC, MSA, capability studies, and statistical analysis .

  • Experience with ERP, QMS, or other quality-management software systems.

  • Experience with supplier quality management and supplier development.

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE ) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA ) preferred.

  • Experience leading and developing a quality team in a growing manufacturing organization.

** ** EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

  • 7+ years of quality experience in a precision manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001

  • Relevant combinations of education, training, certifications, and experience may be considered.

COMMUNICATION & TECHNICAL SKILLS

The successful candidate must be able to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, customer specifications, quality standards, inspection documentation, and manufacturing process information .

The ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to machinists, engineers, supervisors, customers, suppliers, and other internal stakeholders is essential.

Strong written communication skills and the ability to create and maintain clear, accurate quality documentation are also required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an on-site position located at our new facility in Horsham, Pennsylvania .

The Senior Quality Manager will work in a professional manufacturing and engineering environment alongside CNC machinists, programmers, engineers, supervisors, and other manufacturing professionals.

The position requires regular interaction with both office and manufacturing-floor personnel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Quality Manager will provide leadership, direction, and development to quality personnel as the organization grows.

TRAVEL

Limited travel may be required for customer, supplier, or other business-related activities.
