Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Description

The Senior Quantity Surveyor at Daily Christian Quotes will provide expert cost management support for construction and development projects on a part-time, remote basis. Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates and budgets, developing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), monitoring project expenditures, and producing regular cost reports for stakeholders. The role involves reviewing contracts and variations, assessing claims, and advising on cost implications throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with project managers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure financial efficiency, value for money, and alignment with project objectives. The position requires proactive communication, accurate documentation, and adherence to relevant industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong cost management skills, including Cost Control and Cost Management, to oversee budgets and ensure financial efficiency.

• Candidates should possess expertise in Cost Planning and BOQ preparation to support accurate tendering and project forecasting.

• Candidates should possess experience in Cost Reporting to provide clear, timely, and data-driven insights to project stakeholders.

• Candidates should possess proficiency with quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or similar tools.

• Candidates should possess strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Candidates should possess relevant professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with senior-level responsibility; a degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field is preferred.

• Candidates should possess knowledge of standard forms of contract, industry regulations, and best practices in construction cost management.
