Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Description

The Owner role at Daily Knowledge Labs is a part-time, remote position responsible for overseeing the overall vision, strategy, and operations of the organization. On a day-to-day basis, the Owner will define business goals, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources to support content development, marketing, and partnership activities. This role includes managing budgets, monitoring performance metrics, and making data-informed decisions to guide growth. The Owner will coordinate with collaborators or contractors, set standards for quality and ethics, and ensure that workflows and tools support efficient remote operations. The position also involves exploring new opportunities, testing concepts, and refining services and products based on feedback and market trends.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to set strategic direction, define objectives, and manage overall business operations in a remote environment.

• Experience with planning and overseeing digital content or knowledge-based products, including basic familiarity with online platforms and productivity tools.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a part-time schedule.

• Sound financial literacy, including budgeting, cost management, and understanding of revenue models for small or growing organizations.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate contractors, partners, or stakeholders across locations.

• Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including monitoring performance metrics and adapting strategies based on measurable results.

• Entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, and willingness to experiment, iterate, and learn from outcomes.

• Relevant experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, consulting, or managing a small business or project-based initiative; formal education in business, management, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
