Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Description

The Senior Quantity Surveyor role at More Link Innovation is a part-time, hybrid position based in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for some work from home. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for preparing and reviewing bills of quantities (BOQs), managing project budgets, and monitoring costs throughout the project lifecycle. Daily tasks include preparing cost estimates, reviewing contracts, tracking variations, and updating cost reports to support informed decision-making. The role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders, providing commercial advice, and ensuring that projects are delivered within agreed financial parameters. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also contribute to cost planning, tender analysis, and risk assessments for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Qualifications

• Strong cost management capabilities, including Cost Control, Cost Management, and Cost Planning.

• Proficiency in measurement and documentation, including BOQ preparation and review.

• Experience in financial tracking and reporting, including Cost Reporting and budget monitoring.

• Relevant degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

• Professional certification or membership (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is an advantage.

• Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and tendering procedures.

• Advanced skills in spreadsheets and quantity surveying software; familiarity with ERP or project management tools is beneficial.

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.

• Experience with projects in Abu Dhabi or the wider UAE construction market is preferred.
