Senior Salesforce Architect
OGx
Job description
This is the seat where architecture meets impact.
At OGx, our Salesforce Solution Architects don't just design systems; they design the way our clients work, sell, and grow. If you love turning ambitious business problems into elegant, scalable Salesforce solutions, and you want the autonomy to lead from whiteboard to go-live, keep reading.
Your Team & Your Mission
OGx is looking for a Senior Salesforce Solution Architect, based in Los Angeles, to own the overall solution design across our Salesforce implementations, grounded in real industry best practices, not just textbook theory. You bring a broad base of client-delivery experience, sharp instincts for business process design, and the functional depth to back them up. As our Senior Solution Architect, you'll drive complex Salesforce engagements end-to-end, from first discovery conversation to final deployment, working shoulder-to-shoulder with client stakeholders and our functional and technical teams. You're self-directed, energized by hard problems, and known for a “get it done” attitude that clients and teammates alike can count on.
The Impact You'll Make
-
Design and develop the enterprise Salesforce architecture, strategic platform plan, and implementation roadmap that will carry clients' Salesforce investment years into the future
-
Partner directly with client stakeholders to define requirements and deliverables, and set and manage expectations every step of the way
-
Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that make the most of the Salesforce platform and products
-
Lead functional and business design sessions; architect and document business process flows; pinpoint the gaps between where clients are today and where they want to be
-
Deliver detailed level-of-effort estimates for proposed solutions, and speak candidly to the benefits and risks of a solution's feasibility and functionality
-
Team up with a Technical Architect or technical resources to make sure integrations with other systems are seamless and built on sound architectural design
-
Design and oversee test plans that guarantee a quality solution ships every time
-
Stay ahead of the curve on new Salesforce products and technical capabilities as releases and acquisitions roll out
-
Bring your expertise to sales efforts, shaping design, feasibility, and estimation for new opportunities
-
Show thought leadership through publishing, public speaking, and client presentations
-
Coach and mentor junior technical and functional teammates as they grow
-
Conduct interviews and evaluate candidates against role requirements and competencies
The Expertise You'll Bring
-
5–8+ years of CRM industry experience, the majority of it specifically with Salesforce
-
Expertise across multiple Salesforce Clouds; core Sales, Service, and Experience, plus at least one specialty Cloud (Marketing, Data, Financial Services, Revenue, Life Sciences/Health, etc.)
-
Experience delivering Salesforce solutions in one or more industries, ideally Life Sciences/Health, Financial Services, or Public Sector
-
Strong functional development and configuration expertise, including an understanding of functional system architecture and the ability to design scalable, maintainable, well-organized solutions – A solid grasp of key design patterns, data modeling, and platform best practices
-
Expert-level understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations
-
A proven ability to design and optimize business processes and map them to Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality
-
Sharp skills in requirements elicitation, analysis, management, and documentation
-
Expert knowledge of Salesforce and CRM business processes, with the ability to optimize them against out-of-the-box functionality
-
Hands-on exposure to Einstein and Salesforce AI product capabilities
-
A working understanding of the technical side of Salesforce: Apex, LWC, Triggers, and Flows
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest Salesforce releases, features, and roadmap
-
Active Salesforce certifications, or the ability to earn relevant certifications upon hire
