Overview
JST is currently seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Education Cloud Engineer/Architect. The selected individual will provide hands-on Salesforce development, configuration, business analysis, workflow automation, integration, data migration, testing, documentation, and user support. The work supports the migration of a legacy Student Information System to Salesforce Education Cloud and includes admissions, academic records, curriculum management, degree requirements, faculty data, enrollment, academic planning, and graduation processing.

Senior Salesforce Education Cloud Engineer/Architect Responsibilities

Design, configure, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications, objects, fields, flows, validation rules, approval processes, reports, dashboards, and security models.

Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce pages, and custom integrations.

Develop solutions supporting student records, admissions, academic programs, courses, curricula, faculty information, academic planning, enrollment, and graduation processing.

Analyze enhancement requests and implement approved Salesforce platform improvements.

Maintain source code and metadata in a Government approved version control repository.

Use Salesforce DX, Git, automated CI/CD tools, and an approved sandbox strategy to manage releases.

Maintain at least 85 percent Apex test coverage and remediate critical security vulnerabilities.

Use static code analysis tools such as PMD to support code quality.

Design and implement event driven solutions using Salesforce Platform Events and Change Data Capture.

Develop reports, dashboards, data extracts, and analytics supporting operational and executive decisions.

Conduct stakeholder sessions and document current and future business processes.

Identify manual processes, inefficiencies, and opportunities for Salesforce automation.

Design and implement workflows using Salesforce Flow and related platform capabilities.

Develop and maintain REST and SOAP integrations between Salesforce and external systems.

Troubleshoot integration failures and data synchronization issues.

Support data cleansing, transformation, migration, loading, and validation.

Develop and execute unit, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.

Document test plans, test scripts, test results, defects, and remediation activities.

Maintain technical designs, system architecture documents, data models, process flows, configuration documentation, deployment documentation, and administrative guides.

Develop user documentation and training materials.

Provide knowledge transfer and application troubleshooting support to Government personnel.

Maintain work status in the Government approved issue tracking system and contribute to weekly and monthly reports.
Senior Salesforce Education Cloud Engineer/Architect Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field emphasizing software design and development.

Candidates must currently hold all four of the following Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform Developer II, Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified Integration Architect

At least eight years of enterprise application development experience.

At least five years of Salesforce platform development experience.

At least five years developing Apex classes and triggers.

At least five years developing Lightning Web Components.

At least two years working with Salesforce Flow and workflow automation.

At least three years designing and supporting Salesforce security models, including profiles, roles, permission sets, sharing rules, and access controls.

At least one year implementing or supporting Salesforce Education Cloud or Salesforce Education Data Architecture environments.

At least three years designing or supporting REST and SOAP integrations.
-
At least three years working with JSON, XML, and API based integrations.

At least two years supporting data migration and conversion projects.
-
At least three years gathering and documenting business requirements.
-
At least three years documenting business processes and workflows.
-
Demonstrated experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and process diagrams.
Required Clearances and Screenings
