Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support a large financial services client and work closely with technology and product teams across key business initiatives.

This is a hands-on Scrum Master role for an experienced Agile professional who can take ownership of Scrum ceremonies, sprint execution, backlog readiness, dependency and impediment management, and delivery visibility across cross-functional teams. The Scrum Master will partner closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to maintain alignment on priorities and ensure consistent execution throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a hands-on Scrum Master for technology and cross-functional delivery teams.

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Partner closely with Product Owners to maintain healthy, prioritized, and actionable product backlogs.

  • Support sprint planning, estimation, capacity planning, and delivery commitments.

  • Identify, track, and remove impediments impacting team delivery.

  • Monitor sprint progress, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines.

  • Track and communicate Agile metrics, including velocity, burndown, sprint predictability, and other relevant performance indicators.

  • Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives, team feedback, and Agile best practices.

  • Facilitate collaboration across Product, Engineering, QA, business stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Help teams maintain accountability and adherence to established Scrum and Agile practices.

  • Identify and escalate delivery risks, dependencies, and blockers when appropriate.

  • Support multiple workstreams or Scrum teams as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery roles preferred, with significant hands-on Scrum Master experience.

  • Strong practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Agile principles.

  • Demonstrated experience managing Scrum ceremonies and supporting teams throughout the complete sprint lifecycle.

  • Experience partnering closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of backlog management, sprint planning, estimation, capacity planning, and dependency management.

  • Experience identifying and removing impediments and managing delivery risks.

  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile delivery tools.

  • Experience tracking and communicating Agile delivery metrics and team performance.

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Must be able to work on-site in Irving, TX three days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise technology or digital product teams.

  • Experience working across multiple Scrum teams or complex cross-functional initiatives.

  • Exposure to scaled Agile environments such as SAFe.

  • Experience working within large enterprise organizations.

  • Additional Agile or Scrum certifications.
