About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer I on the Cloud Development team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure management solutions. This role leads engineering efforts for major features, mentors team members, and helps ensure the organization’s cloud-hosted applications meet high standards for performance, security, reliability, and usability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design discussions and technical planning for major features and new solutions.

• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and support the onboarding of new team members.

• Review code for security, quality, coding standards, and release readiness.

• Contribute to the development and enforcement of engineering and coding standards.

• Develop efficient, reusable, maintainable, and reliable software.

• Ensure application performance, quality, scalability, and responsiveness.

• Identify and resolve software bottlenecks, defects, and technical issues.

• Maintain code quality and promote automation throughout the development lifecycle.

• Analyze logs and troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues.

• Propose user-friendly technical solutions that improve the customer experience.

• Lead and contribute to requirements discussions with a focus on delivering measurable customer value.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field.

• 7+ years of professional programming experience.

• Azure Certified Developer Associate and Azure Certified Architect Expert certifications.

• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles and reusable software libraries.

• Understanding of software design and architectural patterns.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Experience with troubleshooting, log analysis, root cause investigation, and resolution development.

• Strong understanding of cloud concepts including elasticity, security, identity, and access management.

• Proficiency with C#, PowerShell, VB.NET, Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, and Atlassian Jira.

• Experience with Azure compute and hosting technologies such as Azure Functions, Container Apps, Batch, and Kubernetes Service.

• Familiarity with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Data Lake, and Azure Storage services.

• Experience with Azure Application Insights and Dynatrace.

• Knowledge of frontend frameworks such as Blazor, Angular, and React.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Gross annual base salary range: USD $131,000–$170,000.

• Additional variable compensation and benefits may apply based on experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.
