About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer, Media Creation designs and develops backend architecture that powers media creation tools, enabling users to capture, edit, and publish video and image content. This role contributes to the organization’s media product strategy by building scalable infrastructure and APIs that support high-quality media experiences for users at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to develop innovative products and features.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend infrastructure and APIs supporting media creation tools.

• Participate throughout the full development lifecycle, including architecture, implementation, testing, experimentation, and launch.

• Build reliable and scalable services capable of supporting high-volume user activity.

• Contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and technical decision-making.

• Mentor junior engineers and support the development of technical skills across the team.

• Balance development speed, product quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, scalability, and user experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

• Minimum 3 years of experience working with large-scale distributed systems.

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience using languages such as Go, Python, Ruby, Java, or C++.

• Strong experience with GraphQL, REST, HTTP, gRPC, Thrift, and API design.

• Experience with distributed caching systems and large-scale data storage technologies such as Redis.

• Strong understanding of scalable backend architecture and distributed systems.

• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with remote and distributed teams.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range: $190,000–$267,000 USD.

• Eligible for equity compensation through restricted stock units.

• Potential commission eligibility depending on the role.

• Final compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
