2. About the Opportunity:

The Senior Software Engineer, Simple Trade Experience is responsible for designing and delivering highly performant and reliable systems that power core trading functions on the platform. This role directly impacts millions of users by ensuring a robust, scalable trading experience across web and mobile interfaces. The position demands collaboration with product and design teams to enhance the user experience while maintaining critical backend infrastructure.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver high-performance, available, and consistent trading systems for millions of users

• Architect extensible systems supporting various trading types and assets with reliability at scale

• Collaborate with product and design teams to develop a superior trading experience on web and mobile

• Scale and maintain critical trading infrastructure as usage and product scope expand

• Enhance engineering quality through code reviews, mentorship, and knowledge sharing

4. Requirements:

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience with success in building and scaling production services handling web-scale traffic

• Proven expertise in designing, building, and maintaining high-availability distributed systems, preferably in trading or financial domains

• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java or Golang and experience with data stores like MongoDB or Redis

• Ability to combine customer-focused product insight with strong observability and operational practices

• Experience in upgrading or re-architecting significant legacy systems into modern platforms

• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Annual base salary range: $186,065 to $218,900 USD (excluding equity and bonus)

• Total compensation may include equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
