Sure Jake, Inc. is building a global creator media platform designed to bring creators, fans, brands and discovery together within a single premium consumer experience. The platform combines discovery, creator profiles, content, messaging, subscriptions, fan engagement, creator analytics, promotional tools and monetisation into a unified mobile-first ecosystem.

IN A NUT SHELL

We are looking for a senior mobile engineering leader who can take ownership of the

technical architecture, technology selection and implementation strategy for the Sure Jake mobile application

. You will be expected to challenge technical assumptions, identify risks, make architectural decisions and establish engineering standards that allow Sure Jake to scale from an initial product into a global consumer platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mobile Architecture

• Define the overall mobile application architecture for iOS and Android.

• Recommend and establish the appropriate mobile technology stack.

• Evaluate native versus cross-platform approaches and make recommendations based on scalability, performance, development velocity and long-term maintainability.

• Define strategies for state management, navigation, networking, caching, offline behaviour and application lifecycle management.

Product Engineering

Translate high-fidelity product designs and UX requirements into production-quality mobile experiences.

Backend & API Architecture

Although the immediate focus is mobile engineering, you will need a strong understanding of the backend architecture required to support a modern creator platform.

• Define requirements for mobile APIs and backend services.

• Establish API contracts between mobile applications and backend services.

• Consider media upload, processing, storage and delivery requirements.

• Establish appropriate approaches to pagination, caching, synchronisation and data consistency.

Working Arrangement

This is currently a

part-time, equity-based opportunity of up to approximately 15 hours per week

during the pre-funding stage.

The initial commitment is focused on establishing the technical architecture and engineering foundations required to build the Sure Jake platform.

Once external funding is secured, the intention is to transition key team members into formal post-funding agreements incorporating salary and participation in the company’s employee equity structure.

The pre-funding engagement is intended to provide a defined contribution toward building the company rather than an open-ended unpaid commitment.

Equity

Equity will be determined based on experience, scope of responsibility and expected contribution. The role will use a

milestone-based equity structure

, with milestones agreed in advance and equity awarded against completed deliverables. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a foundational member of the Sure Jake engineering organisation.
