Senior Solution Architect
Jobgether
Job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Solution Architect based in United States.
This is a senior, customer-facing role focused on transforming industrial maintenance through digital and AI-enabled solutions.
You will own solution design across strategic accounts, translating real-world maintenance workflows into scalable mobile and enterprise processes.
Working directly with operations, reliability, and IT leaders, you will lead onsite discovery, define future-state processes, and guide implementation teams.
You will also assess existing deployments, identify opportunities for optimization and expansion, and turn operational gaps into actionable improvement plans.
The role combines deep maintenance expertise, SAP PM/EAM consulting, solution architecture, business-case development, and executive communication.
You will work across technical, commercial, and functional teams while influencing how major industrial organizations modernize maintenance operations.
With global exposure and up to 50% travel, this position offers substantial autonomy and the opportunity to shape the future of industrial maintenance.
Accountabilities
-
Lead solution design for enterprise industrial customers, defining how mobile maintenance, SAP PM/EAM, and AI-enabled capabilities support end-to-end maintenance workflows.
-
Conduct onsite assessments and discovery workshops with maintenance, reliability, operations, and IT stakeholders to understand current processes and identify transformation opportunities.
-
Translate customer requirements and operational realities into clear future-state processes covering work orders, notifications, confirmations, measurements, parts handling, offline execution, and closeout data.
-
Act as the design authority for SAP PM integration, maintenance master data, mobile configuration, security roles, and access models.
-
Define how AI capabilities can be applied to maintenance workflows, including automated data capture, natural-language access to technical information, agentic automation, and predictive use cases.
-
Develop and maintain detailed solution designs and documentation that functional consultants can execute against.
-
Review deployed solutions across existing customer accounts, assess alignment with current site operations, and identify design gaps or improvement opportunities.
-
Create actionable plans that distinguish configuration, data, training, and design changes, including ownership, sequencing, and estimated effort.
-
Identify opportunities to expand digital maintenance capabilities across processes, sites, and customer environments, and quantify their potential business value.
-
Build business cases using relevant maintenance KPIs such as wrench time, schedule compliance, backlog health, PM/PdM completion, MTBF, and MTTR.
-
Present solution strategies, recommendations, and quantified value propositions to operations and IT executives as well as frontline maintenance teams.
-
Coach and enable functional consultants by sharing maintenance-process expertise, architectural reasoning, and practical implementation guidance.
-
Support sales and business development teams with technical discovery, solution scoping, proposals, and customer presentations.
-
Collaborate across consulting, sales, technical, and subject-matter teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with customer objectives.
Requirements
-
3+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance or reliability operations, such as a maintenance/reliability technician, craft supervisor, or MRO lead within a refinery, plant, mill, mine, or similar industrial environment.
-
5+ years of experience in SAP PM or EAM implementation consulting, including ownership of solution design, onsite process assessments, and gap analysis for industrial customers.
-
Demonstrated experience helping industrial sites transition from paper-based work orders to mobile maintenance execution.
-
Proven ability to assess live customer environments, identify gaps between deployed solutions and operational realities, and develop plans that other consultants can successfully implement.
-
Strong working knowledge of maintenance and repair processes, including notification intake, work-order flows, confirmations, parts management, and closeout data quality.
-
Experience defining security roles and access models for maintenance or enterprise systems.
-
Ability to develop and communicate quantified business cases to senior operations and IT executives while also engaging effectively with shop-floor teams.
-
Working understanding of AI technologies and their practical application in maintenance environments, including large language models, retrieval over technical documentation, agentic automation, and predictive models.
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and hands-on maintenance experience.
-
Strong communication, presentation, consulting, stakeholder-management, coaching, and leadership capabilities.
-
CMRP, CRL, or equivalent maintenance and reliability certification is preferred.
-
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Asset Management and SAP integration patterns such as PO, ECC, and APIs is preferred.
-
Familiarity with maintenance performance KPI frameworks, including backlog health, schedule compliance, PM/PdM completion, MTBF, and MTTR, is an asset.
-
Hands-on experience with AI-enabled tools such as LLM assistants, equipment and procedure-document retrieval, or predictive models is preferred.
-
Experience mentoring technicians, planners, consultants, or other technical professionals is an asset.
-
Working Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
-
Must be based in North America and authorized to work there.
-
Willingness to travel up to 50% , primarily across North America, with additional EMEA and APAC travel as customer requirements dictate.
-
Ability to meet plant, refinery, mine-site safety, security, and access requirements.
Benefits
-
Full-time, permanent employment.
-
Fully remote work model.
-
Opportunity to work on large-scale digital transformation initiatives within major industrial environments.
-
Global exposure through collaboration with customers and teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
-
Significant autonomy and ownership over enterprise solution design and customer transformation strategies.
-
Direct interaction with senior operations and IT leaders.
-
Opportunity to work at the intersection of industrial maintenance, SAP/EAM, mobile technology, and artificial intelligence.
-
Professional growth through complex consulting engagements, customer-facing leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
-
Opportunity to influence the evolution of digital maintenance practices across asset-intensive industries.
