The Opportunity

Our client, a international consultancy, have a new opening in their Sydney office to find a technically confident Senior Structural Engineer (or a capable Engineer on the cusp of making the step up).

If you have 5 to 8 years of design experience and  enjoy the challenge of complex structural design but aren't ready to trade your software for spreadsheets and client entertainment, this is your sweet spot. You will step straight into a technical delivery leadership role, partnering directly with the team's Associates to drive massive, career-defining projects from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Taking the Lead Design Role on major structural packages across large-scale residential, schools, data centres, and health sectors.

• Driving Technical Excellence by managing advanced modeling, complex calculations, and documentation workflows.

• Collaborating Closely with Associates, structural drafters, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure flawless project coordination.

• Receiving Direct Mentorship and coaching from respected industry leaders to round out your consulting skills for a future Associate role.

• Utilising Advanced Software daily, serving as a technical anchor for the team.

What You’ll Bring

• 5-8 years of Structural engineering design experience, specifically within the Australian buildings sector.

• Advanced technical proficiency in industry-standard software - confident daily use of ETABS, RAM Concept, and RAPT is essential.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and collaborate effectively.

• An ambitious, growth-oriented mindset - you are technically strong but eager to be guided and coached into a well-rounded consultant.
