IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Senior Tax Accountant with CPA credentials earned.
You will be working in a fast-growing Wealth Management firm, preparing various types of tax returns and tax projection scenarios. In this role, you will collaborate closely with financial advisors on tax planning and compliance matters, including the preparation and review of tax returns. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and extensive technical expertise working with business entities, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals.
The candidate must have a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience preparing federal and state individual, trust, estate, and business returns.
You must be knowledgeable about the latest legislation and regulations, detail-oriented, comfortable analyzing tax data, interviewing clients, reviewing tax forms for completeness and accuracy, and ensuring the highest standards of confidentiality and customer service.
This role is an in-person tax preparer intended to be present in the office to meet with clients. A This role will be based in our Portland office but may cover tax needs at another office.
Successful candidates will possess an active CPA license, a degree in Accounting or Finance, and demonstrated experience providing tax compliance and planning services. Strong technical tax knowledge and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Responsibilities

Work with advisors to provide tax-efficient solutions to client needs

Draft client and advisor communications on behalf of the tax department

Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations

Quarterly estimated payments calculations and year-end tax planning
Skills

Proven work experience in tax accounting

Thorough knowledge of accounting and taxing authority procedures

Experience with UltraTax, and CS Planner, a plus

Intermediate or better Excel knowledge to work with data quickly

Tax planning experience

Pay: $110,000 -$140,000 per year
