For our project in Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we are looking for

Senior Technical Electrical Engineer - Power & LV Systems

- 100% (m/f)

The Ideal Candidate will be a senior electrical engineering professional with strong technical-office and design coordination experience across MV/LV power distribution, emergency power, earthing, lighting, containment, and related electrical systems for high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, or large-scale commercial developments in Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong calculation capability, disciplined shop drawing and material-submittal review, knowledge of Saudi authority requirements, and the ability to coordinate confidently with consultants, contractors, suppliers, BIM teams, and project stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical-office engineering reviews for MV and LV power distribution, emergency power, earthing, lighting, busduct, cabling, and containment systems.

  • Perform and audit electrical calculations, including voltage drop, load flow, short-circuit, protective device coordination/selectivity, busduct sizing, earthing, and lighting calculations.

  • Develop and approve shop drawings, single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, cable routing plans, containment layouts, equipment schedules, and coordinated BIM outputs.

  • Assess material approval requests, technical submittals, compliance sheets, technical queries, and value engineering proposals against specifications, design intent, and authority requirements.

  • Coordinate electrical interfaces with architecture, structure, mechanical systems, ELV/ICT, fire life safety, vertical transportation, BIM, and site teams.

  • Ensure technical alignment with applicable Saudi Building Code requirements, SEC connection guidelines, Civil Defense requirements, IEC standards, and relevant project specifications.

  • Develop and review testing and commissioning method statements, inspection and test plans, cause-and-effect logic, and handover documentation for electrical power systems.

  • Resolve technical comments, RFIs, interdisciplinary clashes, and constructability issues in a clear, timely, and traceable manner.

  • Participate in technical meetings, coordination workshops, authority discussions, and consultant/client review sessions as required.

  • Support quality control by maintaining accurate review records, coordinated mark-ups, calculation files, and technical close-out evidence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Valid Saudi Council of Engineers accreditation is required.

  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of technical-office, electrical design, or design coordination experience on high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, or large-scale building developments.

  • Strong experience in Saudi Arabia is required, with good awareness of local authority, utility, and Civil Defense approval requirements.

  • Advanced proficiency in ETAP, Dialux evo, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and common CDE/document-review platforms.

  • Strong working knowledge of IEC standards, NFPA 70/110, Saudi Building Code electrical requirements, SEC standards, and electrical construction documentation.

  • Proven ability to review calculations, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical queries with limited supervision.

  • Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Fluent written and spoken English is required; Arabic language capability is an advantage.

  • Experience on major hospitality, mixed-use, high-rise, or building programmes in Madinah or the wider KSA market is an advantage
