The Ideal Candidate will have senior technical-office and design review experience across plumbing, drainage, domestic water, rainwater, gas, fire-fighting, and active fire life safety systems for high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, or large-scale commercial developments in Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong hydraulic calculation capability, detailed shop drawing and material-submittal review, knowledge of Saudi Civil Defense and water-authority requirements, and confident coordination with consultants, contractors, BIM teams, specialist suppliers, and site teams

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical-office reviews for plumbing, drainage, domestic water, rainwater, gas, fire-fighting, and specialist suppression systems.

  • Perform and audit hydraulic and sizing calculations for booster pumps, PRV stations, pressure zones, domestic hot water systems, drainage fixture units, and stormwater flow rates.

  • Prepare and validate fire-fighting hydraulic calculations for standpipes, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, hydrants, pre-action systems, and clean-agent suppression systems.

  • Check plumbing and fire-fighting shop drawings, single-line schematics, isometric piping diagrams, sprinkler layouts, pump room details, riser diagrams, and coordinated BIM outputs.

  • Assess material submittals, technical datasheets, compliance sheets, and vendor documentation for pumps, valves, pipes, fittings, backflow preventers, hydrants, tanks, and specialty suppression systems.

  • Coordinate plumbing and fire-fighting interfaces with architecture, structure, HVAC, electrical, ELV/BMS, fire life safety, BIM, and site teams.

  • Ensure technical alignment with Saudi Civil Defense requirements, National Water Company connection requirements, Saudi Building Code provisions, NFPA codes, IPC/UPC principles, UL/FM requirements, and SASO standards.

  • Generate and check flushing, chlorination, pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.

  • Identify technical gaps, compliance issues, constructability concerns, and interface clashes, then issue clear actions for resolution.

  • Participate in consultant/client reviews, authority coordination, technical workshops, and specialist supplier discussions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Valid Saudi Council of Engineers accreditation is required.

  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of technical-office, plumbing, fire-fighting, fire protection, or mechanical design review experience.

  • Strong experience in high-rise, hospitality, mixed-use, large-scale commercial, or complex building developments in Saudi Arabia.

  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, 22, 24, 2001, Saudi Building Code plumbing and fire-code requirements, Saudi Civil Defense requirements, and NWC technical connection requirements.

  • Experience with hydraulic calculation tools such as Elite Fire or equivalent fire protection software is preferred.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, CDE platforms, and common document-review tools.

  • Proven ability to review calculations, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, testing procedures, and technical queries with limited supervision.

  • Strong coordination and communication skills with consultants, contractors, suppliers, BIM teams, and multidisciplinary project stakeholders.

  • Fluent written and spoken English is required; Arabic language capability is an advantage.

We Offer:

  • Opportunity to collaborate with a forward-thinking, synergistic, and innovative team.

  • Exposure to cutting-edge projects driving Middle East / North African regions development.

  • Personalized professional growth and developmental avenues tailored to your career aspirations.
