Job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Web Software Developer based in United States.
This is a senior technical role supporting the modernization and continued reliability of enterprise federal applications.
You will contribute to both the maintenance of critical systems and the development of their future-state platforms.
The role combines full-stack web development, cloud modernization, secure engineering, and Agile delivery.
You will help transition legacy applications into modern cloud-native environments while reducing technical debt.
The position provides broad collaboration with architects, cybersecurity teams, product owners, and program leaders.
Your work will directly support digital services and technology initiatives within national transportation programs.

Accountabilities:

Lead development execution across Operations, Maintenance, and Enhancements and Development, Modernization, and Enhancements workstreams, delivering user stories, resolving defects, and completing application enhancements.

Maintain consistent 2–4 week sprint cadence and ensure development throughput remains aligned with Digital Factory priorities.

Translate functional requirements into stable, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions for enterprise web applications.

Guide legacy application modernization and lifecycle transitions, including migration toward cloud-native environments and application decommissioning activities.

Provide senior technical leadership for Tier 2–3 systems, contributing to backlog refinement, prioritization, task coordination, and technical decision-making.

Apply secure coding and DevSecOps practices aligned with NIST 800-218 and OWASP principles throughout development and automated CI/CD pipelines.

Develop and integrate solutions across enterprise platforms and technologies, including .NET, Java, Salesforce, Power Platform, ServiceNow, AWS, and Azure.

Collaborate with project managers, architects, cybersecurity professionals, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with program objectives.

Support system lifecycle progression, application sunset planning, and transitions to modernized platforms.

Mentor junior developers, contribute to code reviews, reinforce engineering standards, and help improve overall development quality.
Requirements:

Senior-level expertise in web software development, with substantial hands-on experience working with established enterprise technologies and platforms.

At least 5 years of specialized experience with established technologies, or 7+ years of relevant experience where formal training is not substantiated.

At least 3 years of experience integrating technical and functional design requirements for enterprise web applications.

Strong hands-on experience with .NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and cloud-native architectures using AWS or Azure.

Solid understanding of web technologies, database-backed applications, and content management systems.

Proficiency with GitHub Enterprise or Azure DevOps and automated CI/CD and deployment pipelines.

Experience developing within or integrating enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Power Platform, ServiceNow, Dynamics 365, Drupal, or Appian.

Familiarity with federal DevSecOps expectations, secure development frameworks, cybersecurity boundaries, Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, and POA&M remediation is beneficial.

Experience working in Agile development environments; Agile certifications are preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, or a related field.

Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly while collaborating effectively across technical and functional teams.

U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status is required.

Candidates must meet updated federal identification requirements and be willing to update required identification documents in a timely manner if necessary to complete the suitability process.

Ability to support Eastern Time working hours while working remotely within the United States.
Benefits:

Annual salary range of $119,000–$132,000 , with final compensation determined by relevant skills, experience, education, certifications, location, and applicable security clearance level.
