P Kiernan Groundworks Ltd is looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our growing team.

The position will be primarily based on our large residential developments in Co. Cavan

, with the successful candidate required to be willing to travel to other company sites when needed.

We are looking for a motivated, organised and ambitious individual who can take responsibility for engineering works and play a key role in delivering projects efficiently and to a high standard.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Setting out drainage, foundations, roads, services and associated groundworks.

• Ensuring works are carried out accurately and in accordance with drawings and specifications.

• Working closely with site managers, foremen and the contracts management team.

• Managing site levels, surveys and as-built records.

• Identifying drawing discrepancies and resolving technical issues.

• Monitoring quality and ensuring works meet required standards.

• Assisting with planning, coordination and daily site operations.

• Supporting engineering requirements across other company projects when required.

🔹 Requirements:

• Previous experience in civil engineering or groundworks.

• Strong setting-out experience using GPS and total station equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Good knowledge of drainage, roads, foundations and underground services.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Full driving licence.

• Must be willing to travel between company sites when required.
