Site Engineer - Civil / Aluminium, Curtain Wall & Cladding

Job Description:

SIGMA CONTRACTING & TRADING W.L.L. in Qatar is seeking a qualified and experienced Site Engineer – Civil with strong practical experience in Aluminium, Curtain Wall, Cladding and Façade works to join its project team in Doha, Qatar.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising daily site activities, coordinating subcontractors and resources, and ensuring that façade and related construction works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality and HSE requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and manage daily Aluminium, Curtain Wall, Cladding and Façade installation activities.

• Coordinate related civil, structural, architectural and finishing works required for façade execution.

• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, quality and HSE requirements.

• Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractor activities to achieve daily and weekly targets.

• Monitor site productivity, workmanship, installation quality and progress against the approved programme and look-ahead plan.

• Review and interpret architectural, structural and façade shop drawings and identify site constraints or coordination issues.

• Coordinate façade interfaces with structure, waterproofing, MEP, finishes and other trades.

• Monitor installation of curtain wall, aluminium doors and windows, ACP/cladding, glazing, louvers, screens and associated façade systems.

• Ensure proper installation of anchors, brackets, joints, sealants, flashings, gaskets and weather-sealing components.

• Coordinate with QA/QC, HSE, MEP, Technical Office, Planning and Logistics teams.

• Ensure required inspections, approvals, material checks and testing are completed before proceeding with subsequent activities.

• Monitor subcontractor performance and support timely resolution of technical and site coordination issues.

• Prepare daily progress reports and identify constraints, technical issues, delays and required corrective actions.

• Support mock-ups, inspections, testing, snagging and handover activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering / Architectural Engineering or related field.

• Minimum 4–6 years of relevant construction experience, preferably with strong experience in Aluminium, Curtain Wall, Cladding or Façade works.

• Practical experience in façade installation and site execution.

• Strong understanding of curtain wall, aluminium, cladding, glazing, ACP, louvers and associated façade systems.

• Ability to read and interpret construction and shop drawings, specifications and method statements.

• Good knowledge of façade installation sequence, tolerances, interfaces, sealants, waterproofing and finishing requirements.

• Good knowledge of quantity calculations, material requirements and construction sequencing.

• Strong site coordination, manpower management and problem-solving skills.

• Good English communication and reporting skills.

• Previous GCC/Qatar experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Eligibility for Qatar engineering registration after joining is an advantage.

• Previous Qatar/GCC experience is preferred, but strong candidates with relevant façade experience will also be considered.
