Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to join our innovative data team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions within the Snowflake cloud data platform. Duties

  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using Snowflake and complementary tools such as Informatica and Talend.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data models and schemas within Snowflake.

  • Implement and manage data integration workflows across various cloud platforms including AWS, Azure Data Lake, and Public Cloud environments.

  • Develop robust SQL queries, Python scripts, and shell scripts to automate data processing tasks and improve system performance.

  • Maintain and enhance data warehousing architecture by applying dimensional modeling principles for efficient query management and business intelligence reporting.

  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance by implementing best practices in data management and governance.

  • Support the development of analytics solutions using business intelligence tools like Looker and other visualization platforms to deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehousing solutions.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, Bash (Unix shell), and Shell Scripting for automation and pipeline development.

  • Extensive knowledge of Big Data systems including Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and related technologies.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure Data Lake, or equivalent Public Cloud services.

  • Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica or Talend for seamless data integration workflows.

  • Solid understanding of Data Modeling concepts including Dimensional Modeling for Data Warehousing design.

  • Experience working with SQL databases like Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of Data Management Integration best practices is a plus.

  • Ability to work in Agile environments with excellent analysis skills for troubleshooting and optimizing data processes.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and translate technical details into business insights.
