Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Software Developer / Engineer. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining back-end services and software components that support secure products and platforms for clients.

Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and testable code, reviewing and refactoring existing systems, integrating with cloud services, and contributing to technical documentation.

The Software Developer / Engineer will collaborate with consultants and technical leadership to align solutions with client requirements, security standards, and best practices. The role also includes troubleshooting, performance optimisation, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Practical experience in Software Development and Engineering, with proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript).

  • Skills in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, working with databases, and integrating cloud services (AWS or Azure preferred).

  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, cyber security principles, and compliance considerations is highly beneficial.

  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
