Software Developer Full-time Regular or Paid Internship

Melissa is seeking a software developer for our Rancho Santa Margarita, CA location. This position has the unique flexibility to be offered as either a full-time regular or a paid Internship, depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience and motivation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing response, user-friendly web interfaces and front-end applications powered by internal and external RESTful Web APIs. In addition to building client-facing tools and portals that consume backend services, the developer will write programs, automate workflows, work with structured datasets, and maintain a variety of software tools.

Requirements/job Qualifications

• 1+ year experience with core web technologies or related technical fields.

• A Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Able to work with other teams to support and enhance existing products while applying best practices.

• Good time management skills and critical thinking

Experience

• Hands-on experience with core web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript) and at least one modern front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular).

• Foundational proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, C#) to write basic scripts, debug simple issues, or maintain custom bots.

• Basic proficiency with Git and GitHub (cloning repositories, committing code, opening pull requests, and tagging issues).

• Prior experience in consuming RESTful Web APIs, handling JSON data payloads.

• Basic SQL knowledge for pulling simple log queries or usage stats.

• Familiar with using AI agents (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT).

• Work in data parsing, record matching and/or database profiling.

• Experience in cross-platform development (Windows and Linux).

Pay Range

$40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year / $19.23 - $38.46 per hour
